I totally missed my blogs 1st birthday, how insensitive could I be?! Last Wednesday, Sept. 28th Kittenz Cradle turned 1 years old! Albeit sporadic, I can't believe I've been posting that long.

Goal for year two: More frequent posts and more followers.

July YPP Swaps!

I joined 3 swaps in July at YPP and had a great time. I cut back from my ambitious 5 swaps I tackled in June. I have to limit myself because I'm a procrastinator and postage adds up, lol.

Well, here are my creations. (I think I'll come back and post some of the the items I've received back. My swap partners are so talented.)

PopulArt Swap

This month we altered acrylic photo frames to be desk toppers. They had to included a post-it type pad, a calendar, and a stamped image. We also had to make 2 stick pins and 2 homemade flowers. I liked how this turned out.

If you like these flowers there's a tutorial I did in a previous post. These are the two I created in the video.

Well, that's it. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. I'm not doing many swaps for August because I'm preparing for a craft fair in September, I'll post more details later, and building up inventory for my etsy shop. wish me luck and thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day Card and YPP

Happy belated Mother's Day! I haven't posted in a while so I wanted to share the MD card I made for my mom. My inspiration was all the vintage cards and crafts I've seen everywhere lately. I'm also excited because I joined Your Paper Pantry just this weekend and I have received such a warm welcome from the members there. Can you believe this very card picture was featured on their site already? I haven't even been a member for a week and they noticed me. Please believe me, I'm not boasting because the members there are Ridiculously talented. I only mention this because I've been a member of other online forums and it's not always easy to break into the groups. At YPP I was immediately welcomed and I can't wait to learn and swap and be a contributing part of the community there.

Baby's 1st Converse

I think I can add crocheting to make repertoire of crafts. I haven't picked up a crochet hook since I was a child but I guess it's one of those things you never forget.

Look at the converse I made last week for Baby Avery. She's a million times more adorable but you guys only get to see the chucks. Let me know how you like them.

Hello Baby

Just wanted to share a card I just finished up.

A very good friend of mine was blessed with a beautiful baby girl earlier this week. I may see them this weekend and so I put together a quick and easy card to welcome the newest cutie pie into the world.

A new post is long overdue. I hope you all had an awesome holiday season and a wonderful start to your New Year!!

I have nothing to show you right now since I'm at my desk at work, gotta work to pay for my hobbies, but I have a few teasers of post to come. First let me tell you I got a Cricut Expression and a Gypsy for Christmas. Awesomeness!! There will most definitely be a post on my these two items and the projects I've made.

Then there's the furniture I got, also a gift, for the Newport. More to come on this. And finally, I have "someone" to introduce. That's all I'm saying for now.

I could actually just do one large update post and be done with everything that's happened since my break. But then what would I write about next? Blog content comes slow around here. I spend more time a desk here at work than I do a desk at home but C'est la vie! Right? I'll be back tomorrow with one of the post I've eluded to. Any preferences on which goes first?
